About the role: Hill Park School is a three‑site special school for pupils aged 4–16 with varying learning difficulties. We are looking to appoint an Assistant Caretaker to join our Premises Team at the Secondary site in Portslade.

• Assist with cleanliness, security and maintenance of the school site and minibus.
• Perform general building maintenance (plumbing, carpentry, basic electrics) and DIY repairs.
• Support premises issues and work proactively within the team.
• Ensure health and safety requirements are met.
• Provide daily interaction with pupils.

• Experience with building maintenance and general DIY skills.
• Working knowledge of health and safety requirements.
• Full, clean driving licence with D1 entitlement desirable.
• Flexibility to adjust hours as required.
• Proactive, flexible and able to work well within a team.
