An exciting opportunity is available for new position for those who are eager to develop their career and gain valuable experience in clinical leadership as the Young People's Home Treatment Team Manager within the Brookside Acute Services.

The post holder will provide effective and efficient operational and clinical management of delegated resources within the YPHTT which is a 7 day a week crisis provision within CAMHS that works adjacent to the inpatient ward and psychiatric liaison service. While ensuring care delivery meets and addresses the issues of spirituality, equality diversity and rights in accordance with good practice and legislation.

Act as a role model for junior staff, and in a manner, which positively reflects the values of the organisation and in a way, which will ensure that effective communication pathways exist with internal and external stakeholders aimed at developing current models of care.

They will lead in the assessment planning implementation and evaluation of multi-disciplinary care. This will include managing the daily functioning of the YPHTT, responsibility for all staff management, resource allocation, modernisation and development of the workforce and services and overseeing patient referrals and assessments.

The post holder is responsible for ensuring that clinical supervision, appraisal and PDP are embedded in practice. They will promote supervision as a positive influence for practice. The post holder will provide a visible, accessible and authoritative presence in clinical settings and service areas to staff, patients and carers.

The post holder will bring about contemporary evidence based nursing interventions, facilitating a culture shift in accordance with the Trust values.

In addition to having operational and clinical management responsibility for YPHTT, the post holder will be required to provide cover for the Modern Matron, and INTERACT manager in their absence.

Key Responsibilities Leadership/Managerial

To be responsible for operational and clinical line management of YPHTT staff.
To support and develop the strategic direction for the CAMHS acute pathway, in line with national policies and locally identified health needs.
To deputise for the Brookside and CYP Crisis Service lead in ensuring that services within the CAMHS acute inpatient service continue to run efficiently and meets the need of service users and to support stakeholders/ partners in delivering services.
To manage a range of processes and systems, across the service to support the effective running of the service and clinical care pathways.
To ensure harmonisation of quality care delivery across the service areas.
To lead the learning and development plan for services and ensure that developmental requirements are in place for all staff in line with the knowledge and skills framework.
To lead change management in the implementation of service development and transformation in response to latest evidence-based practice, local strategic needs assessments and the requirements of commissioned contractual agreements.
To create a culture in which innovative ideas can flourish and provide vision and inspiration to enable staff to deliver support effectively.
To ensure effective performance management and professional and clinical leadership of the workforce.
To ensure services are cost effective and delivered within budget
To deliver robust financial management in line with Directorate and Trust targets, including Cost Improvement Programmes.
To ensure services meet care quality and performance management standards and are compliant with all regulatory requirements and standards.
To represent the Service and Trust at external meetings with stakeholders when required.
To ensure the safeguarding agenda is firmly embedded in service delivery at all levels.
To act at all times as a positive role model and advocate both for individual staff and NELFT.
To provide cover for the Modern Matron and INTERACT manager when required.

Starting with NELFT

NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment.
