Citizens Advice offers confidential advice online, over the phone, and in person, for free. Through our national network of charities, we give people the knowledge and the confidence they need to find their way forward – whoever they are, and whatever their problem.

We’re looking for a Volunteering Development Specialist to support the delivery and development of high quality volunteering across our network of local Citizens Advice offices. You will champion volunteering in Citizens Advice and influence the position and profile of volunteering across the service and externally. You’ll provide expert support, guidance and resources alongside facilitating peer learning and sharing of practice and innovation to drive consistently high quality volunteer experience across our network of local Citizens Advice.

• Excellent knowledge of good practice in volunteer management and development and experience of supporting the application of this in a range of settings and contexts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to deal with a wide range of people face to face, by email, phone and via social media platforms.
• Experience of developing and delivering good practice guidance, templates and advice on a one to one and group basis, preferably in a volunteering context.
• Experience and confidence in developing and delivering presentations and training sessions and facilitating workshops or peer learning sessions.
