Location: Hove, East Sussex

Salary: £60000 per annum

Qualification: RGN Required (Active NMC Pin – strong elderly care and nursing home experience essential)

Compass Associates are proud to be working in partnership with a national, quality-focused elderly care provider who are seeking an experienced Clinical Deputy Manager to join the leadership team at one of their established nursing homes in East Sussex.

The home provides nursing and residential care for older adults and benefits from an experienced Home Manager, established staffing teams and a supportive leadership structure. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the Home Manager, providing visible clinical leadership and continuing to drive excellence within the service.

As Clinical Deputy Manager, you will:

• Support the Home Manager with the day-to-day running of the service
• Provide strong clinical leadership across the nursing and care teams
• Act as a visible presence within the home, supporting staff and residents
• Lead, mentor and develop nurses and care staff to maintain exceptional standards of care
• Support clinical governance, audits, care planning and CQC compliance processes
• Drive continuous improvement and promote best practice throughout the service
• Ensure residents receive safe, effective and person-centred care at all times
• Work closely with families, healthcare professionals and the wider multidisciplinary team
• Support a positive culture where residents’ wellbeing and quality of life remain the priority

To be considered, you must have:

• RGN qualification with an active NMC pin
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience working as a Deputy Manager or Clinical Lead within an elderly nursing home environment
• Strong knowledge and understanding of CQC regulations, inspections and compliance requirements
• Proven experience leading, developing and supporting nursing teams
• Strong clinical knowledge, particularly within elderly care and dementia nursing
• Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills
• The confidence to challenge, influence and drive improvements within a serviceA genuine passion for delivering outstanding care and improving residents’ quality of life
