Direct Payments Officer Adult Social Care (ASC) 37 hours per week | Full Time Scale 5 - 29,064 - 31,022

Join Our Direct Payments Team Are you passionate about helping people maintain choice, control and independence in their lives? Brighton & Hove City Council's Direct Payments Team plays a vital role in supporting adults with eligible care and support needs to arrange their own services through Direct Payments. We are a friendly, knowledgeable and supportive team that works closely with social work teams, carers, finance colleagues and partner organisations across Adult Social Care.

As a Direct Payments Officer, you will provide specialist administrative and technical support to ensure the effective delivery of Direct Payments across Adult Social Care. You will be a key point of contact for residents, carers, practitioners and partner agencies, helping to ensure Direct Payments are administered accurately, efficiently and in line with relevant legislation, policies and procedures. You will work independently to manage a varied caseload of enquiries, support financial monitoring processes, maintain accurate records, and provide advice and guidance to colleagues and stakeholders on Direct Payments processes and requirements.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is less than 37 hours or term-time only.

Your contractual location will be the designated council office for your team and travel to and from your contractual location would be at your own expense.
