The Inbound Specialist is responsible for directing and coordinating all logistics activities that involve the shipping and movement of turbine components. This includes storing, inventorying, ordering, receiving, and issuing materials, supplies, tools, equipment, and parts in the stockroom, warehouse, or yard.
Responsibilities- Plan and direct shipping/warehouse activities, implementing best practices concerning stock levels, WIP, inventory days, and inventory levels.
- Ensure quality, safety, health, and environmental compliance for all logistics employees. Enforce safety and security procedures and continuously improve QSE efforts.
- Supervise employees in the Shipping/Warehouse department, including hiring, training, performance appraisal, rewarding, disciplining, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.
- Manage the department budget within approved limits, and develop and implement cost‑saving measures.
- Develop 3‑5 year growth and capability improvement strategies.
- Create tasks and manage projects to support the factory’s strategic targets.
- Oversee work procedures and schedules to expedite workflow and ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Review material delivery to production based on the production plan.
- Review factory shipments based on the shipping plan, adjusting priorities, assignments, and shipping methods to meet schedules.
- Ensure shipping/warehouse operations adhere to Safety and Quality standards.
- Provide training on proper care, preservation, and handling of received, stored, and shipped items.
- Communicate to ensure hazardous materials and waste are transported safely, in compliance with regulations.
- Inspect, weigh, load, document, and transport hazardous materials and waste, maintaining accurate shipping and receiving records.
- Comply with all state and federal regulations for handling, storing, discharging, and transporting hazardous materials and waste.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree (Business, Engineering or related field) or 4‑6 years of related experience in warehouse, shipping/transportation, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 6 years progressive leadership experience.
- Good knowledge of safe operations with heavy equipment loading and operation.
- Background in transportation is beneficial.
- Computer skills: proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and knowledge of MRP, time systems, and supply chain systems.
- Ability to lead, coach, and present to managers, clients, and the general public.
- Ability to work effectively in teams and maintain a safe work area.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and related software.
- Team management and leadership skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to express information clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, and supplier supply chain activities.
- Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP systems.
- Possession of a Lean Toolbox, including Black Belt certification and demonstrated experience.
- Ability to interact frequently with others professionally and courteously.

Compensation: $100,000‑$110,000 Annually
