27J Schools is seeking a high school principal to provide dynamic leadership for the entire educational program.

Lead the opening of 27J's 4th comprehensive high school, Rocky Vista High School (RVHS). 27J is looking for a leader to embody and bring to life our mission. The leader will effectively plan, coordinate start‑up tasks, and open the school.

Salary:
Range 16. The range starts at $127,630. Direct school leadership experience years will be analyzed for placement on the range above the starting point.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the 27J mission at RVHS: facilitate and guide learning experiences that create empowered, engaged, and thinking students.
  • Lead a culture driven by learning and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure a learning environment that is safe, respectful, and inclusive.
  • Lead a professional, productive, student‑focused, and safe work environment for staff.
Qualifications
  • Master's Degree minimum; other advanced graduate work preferred. Must have Administrative/Principal Certification/Licensing as required by Colorado Department of Education.
  • Experience as a secondary school principal or assistant principal preferred.
  • At least three years teaching experience at the middle school level required. Training and/or experience in major areas of personnel and personnel management required.
  • Experience and knowledge of curriculum for secondary schools, with knowledge of state standards required.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in collaborative decision‑making required.

Experience:

3 years of teaching experience and school leadership experience.
