Forensic Registered Nurse – Emergency Department

• Provide comprehensive care to patients in emergency situations, with a focus on those requiring forensic examination.
• Perform detailed forensic examinations and collect evidence in a manner that maintains its integrity and admissibility in legal proceedings.
• Document findings meticulously in patient records and legal forms.
• Collaborate with law enforcement, legal teams, and healthcare providers to ensure a cohesive approach to patient care and evidence management.
• Participate in on-call rotations for immediate forensic examination needs.
• Conduct training and presentations for healthcare staff on forensic protocols and patient care considerations.
• Support patients emotionally and provide resources for further assistance.
• Expertise in clinical care and forensic examination techniques.
• Ability to work collaboratively in high-pressure environments.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Proficiency with medical and forensic equipment.

• Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Utah.
• Certification as a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) preferred.
