Responsibilities

Bag groceries at check out for customers, striving for at least five items per bag without damage.

Follow best practices for bagging in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).

Assist in removing customer's merchandise from baskets for checkout.

Help customers load bags into their cars when needed.

Perform basic shelf conditioning and inform customers of grocery specials.

Return merchandise to shelves, gather and return shopping carts, and clean spills and trash inside and outside the store.

Handle seasonal merchandise and assist with store layout and product location.

Follow safety procedures, report unsafe conditions, and adhere to food safety regulations.

Maintain equipment and notify management of repairs needed.

Create a welcoming environment for customers by answering questions about products.

Follow all legal and company guidelines, work cooperatively in a high-paced environment, and manage conflicts professionally.

Support and assist customers, including minors, individuals with disabilities, and older adults.

Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.

Qualifications

Customer service skills
Effective communication skills
Retail experience preferred but not required
