Fence Installation Driver
OverviewAt Reliable Onsite Services, you will deliver, install, remove, and repair temporary fencing equipment in a safe, timely, and courteous manner. You will provide exceptional customer service and maintain open communication with dispatch.
Responsibilities- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures
- Safely operate a fencing truck daily, ensuring proper load securement
- Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections on vehicles to ensure safe and correct operation
- Perform pre‑use and post‑use inspections on fence installation tools
- Ensure truck is loaded with all necessary equipment/materials, restocking as needed
- Meet with the customer to review assigned projects prior to installation and follow up throughout the project
- Prepare customer job site for fence installation
- Set fence poles, install fence, and pull fence using appropriate tools to customer specifications
- Coordinate the work of the Fence Installation Associate, routinely inspecting progress
- Train the Fence Installation Associate on safety protocols and proper techniques
- Repair temporary fencing units at job site as requested
- Provide onsite moves, pickup/delivery of fencing as requested
- May operate forklift for loading/unloading of fencing truck or at customer site
- Other duties as assigned, may assist with other rental equipment offerings
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (ability to drive day or night)
- 1 year of truck driving experience required (CDL license preferred); DOT medical card required before employment
- 2 years of fencing and/or construction industry experience preferred
- Attention to safety and knowledge of safe driving procedures
- Ability to locate and understand utility markings and follow underground utility safety requirements (training provided)
- Ability to operate a forklift (training provided)
- Excellent customer service, communication skills, and a positive attitude
- Ability to mount and dismount trucks multiple times daily
- Ability to frequently lift, move, push, pull, twist, and turn items up to 45 pounds, and in excess of 45 pounds with assistance
- Work effectively in all weather conditions and customer environments
- Some weekend work may be required
