This is a seasonal position for a Tax Accountant/Preparer at Pfeffer, Hanniford and Palka, CPAs. As a Tax Accountant/Preparer, you will be responsible for preparing tax returns for individuals, businesses, trusts, and non-profit entities. The position is based in Brighton, MI, and the assistance period is typically from January through May.

• Registered tax return preparer test completed.
• Registration with the IRS with a valid PTIN.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in public accounting.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
• Ability to ensure client confidentiality.
