AI is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Drone Operator to join our team in a full-time role. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in the telecommunications industry, utilizing drone technology to support various projects, including site surveys, inspections, and data collection for telecommunications infrastructure and other professional lidar scanning services.

Location: CSTech.

AI is seeking a MI based drone operator with an understanding that travel will occur in and out of state for completion of all client scopes of work.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Operate drones for aerial surveys, inspections, and mapping of telecommunications sites, including cell towers, building installments, and other infrastructure as needed.
  • Conduct pre-flight checks to ensure all equipment is in optimal working condition.
  • Capture high-quality aerial imagery for analysis and reporting.
  • Analyze data collected from drone flights to provide insights and recommendations for project improvements.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other team members to support telecommunications projects.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, safety guidelines, and company policies while operating drones.
  • Maintain detailed records of drone operations, including flight logs and maintenance schedules.
  • Stay current with advancements in drone technology and industry best practices.
  • Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a drone operator, preferably in the telecommunications sector.
  • Proficiency in drone operation, including flight planning and data collection.
  • Familiarity with drone mapping and flight automation software.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong understanding of telecommunications infrastructure and related technologies.
  • Experience with LiDAR and photogrammetry applications.
  • Knowledge of RF (radio frequency) principles and telecommunications standards.
  • Previous experience working in remote or challenging environments.
