Position Details:

• Department:
  Counseling - Brighton Center for Recovery, Brighton, MI
• Schedule:
  
  Full Time, 40 hours/week, 8:00 am - 6:30 pm, 4-10 hour shifts with rotating weekends and holidays
• Compensation: $23.26 - $25.88 per hour

Position Summary: Provides counseling services across hospital programs including Detox, Rehab, PHP, and others. Responsibilities include patient assessment, treatment planning, facilitating group and individual therapy, caseload management, and documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and utilize patient histories and assessments for treatment planning.
• Develop diagnostic evaluations using ASAM and DSM-IV-TR criteria.
• Conduct group and individual therapy sessions.
• Coordinate with other healthcare professionals and support services.
• Maintain timely documentation and reports.
• Participate in program operations, staff meetings, and professional development.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, or Psychology.
• State of Michigan license in respective discipline.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 120 days of hire.
• Certification as CADC or CAADC preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in chemical dependency counseling; experience under a Bachelor's degree is a plus.
