Responsibilities
  • Accountable for performing day‑to‑day non‑clinical pharmacy operations, administrative activities; ensures efficient pharmacy workflow and a positive patient experience. Serves as a full‑time certified pharmacy technician.
  • Responsible for operating pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions. Under the supervision of a pharmacist, supervising pharmacy technicians and cashiers within the guidelines of authorized company policies, laws, regulations and business ethics.
  • Responsible for the selection, scheduling, and development of pharmacy technician personnel. Leads training, coaching, and performance management of pharmacy technicians. Makes decisions regarding performance management including discipline and termination.
  • Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services; resolves complaints, responds to requests promptly, and answers non‑clinical questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Develops strong relationships with customers by anticipating needs and proactively offering services.
  • Assists pharmacist in delivery of patient care including registration, prescription data entry, medication preparation, counting, verifying, and making patient and physician calls under pharmacist supervision.
  • Assists with healthcare service offerings such as vaccines, health screenings and other services allowed by law.
  • Delegates, directs, and assigns non‑clinical work within company policies and laws, ensuring tasks are completed on time.
  • Prepares, files reports and records required by the company and government agencies.
  • Manages core pharmacy workflow, schedules daily activities, recommends hour allocation, keeps the pharmacy clean and stocked.
  • Ensures compliance with administrative activities, inventory management, and annual inventory preparation.
  • Drives new technology/process rollout and champions change.
  • Ensures proper operation and maintenance of department equipment, record‑keeping and security safeguards.
  • Adheres to Good Faith Dispensing policies and ensures compliance.
  • Monitors asset protection, diversion monitoring and reports concerns.
  • Communicates prescription errors, follows company policies related to errors and the Continuous Quality Improvement Program.
  • Ensures accurate processing of insurance claims, resolves payment rejections, follows up with insurers and medical providers.
  • Supports Store Manager and Pharmacy Manager in analyzing and improving pharmacy financials, operational quality, and customer service.
  • Manages Community Outreach Portal, coordinates off‑site immunization clinics and community events, builds retail partnerships.
People & Performance Management
  • Leads performance management of technicians, makes discipline and termination decisions, follows constructive discipline policy, ensures compliance with laws, holds technicians accountable for attendance and timeliness.
  • Accountable for technician hiring, onboarding, training, and scheduling; monitors timely training completion.
  • Identifies gaps in operations knowledge and supports training via hands‑on methods or learning modules.
  • Monitors licensure, registrations, and certifications; ensures they are active and compliant with regulations.
  • Ensures proper procedures for selection, recruitment, record retention, and training as required by company policy and law.
Training & Personal Development
  • Maintains PTCB certification and state required certification/registration.
  • Maintains and enhances knowledge and skills related to pharmacy and healthcare.
  • Obtains necessary certifications, education credits and training such as LTMP e‑modules.
  • Seeks professional development through feedback and mentorship.
Communication
  • Communicates with pharmacy team, relaying messages from support center and key emails.
  • Participates in key store/pharmacy meetings, including 5‑minute meetings and weekly check‑ins with the Store Manager.
Basic Qualifications
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico).
