At Work Skills Corporation (WSC), you’ll work alongside a supportive clinical team to help individuals with mental, emotional, developmental, and physical disabilities build skills, increase independence, and reach their personal and professional goals.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED- Michigan-licensed Occupational Therapist with a bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
- Registered OTR (Occupational Therapist Registered).
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Strong communication, documentation, and clinical assessment skills.
- Ability to collaborate with a clinical team and support individuals with disabilities.
As our Occupational Therapist, you will:
- Assess clients and identify strengths, challenges, and areas for growth
- Develop individualized treatment goals and intervention plans
- Provide therapeutic strategies to improve daily living, motor, cognitive, social, and functional skills
- Recommend and train clients on adaptive equipment and assistive technology
- Help identify environmental modifications that promote independence at home, work, and in the community
- Educate clients, families, caregivers, and team members on treatment strategies
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary clinical team
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and progress records
- Participate in case reviews, quality improvement, and clinical best practices
- Advocate for each individual's needs, choices, goals, and independence
