Operations Manager
Assistant Manager of Snow Surfaces
Responsible for oversight of all operations within the Grooming, Snow making, and Terrain Park departments. This includes budget oversight, safety training and compliance, and departmental training, scheduling and staffing for all three departments.

- Attend all mountain operations meetings and Resort Leadership Team meetings to align department priorities.
- Recruit, hire, coach, motivate and develop high‑performing teams in Snow making, Grooming, and Terrain Parks.
- Improve safety within mountain operations, leading by example with safety strategies, policies, and procedures.
- Contribute actively to Snow making, Grooming, and Terrain Park Best Practices groups.
- Prioritize and adapt in a constantly changing business and environmental setting.
- Create and oversee departmental budgets while tracking performance.
- Foster a positive work culture that commits to an Experience of a Lifetime for each guest and pride in working at Mt Brighton.
- Build strong relationships with key managers outside direct reports.
- Increase operational efficiency through ongoing communication and cooperation with mountain operations departments.
- Ensure company and employee communications are provided.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in Snow making, Grooming, or Terrain Park.
- At least 2 years managing staff at supervisory capacity.
- Valid Driver’s License without restrictions.
- Proficiency in standard business software (Microsoft Office Suite – Outlook, Excel, Teams, etc.).
- Fluency in reading, writing, and understanding English.
- Availability to work holidays, weekends, evenings, and overnights.
- Welding certifications.
- Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
- Ability to ski or snowboard at an intermediate/advanced level.
