Saw Operator​/Production Worker

Closets by Design of South Central Michigan seeks a motivated, collaborative Production Worker / Saw Operator for our growing manufacturing/production team in Brighton, MI. We will train you to produce high-quality custom closets, garages, and home-office organization systems using a variety of industrial wood processing equipment in a safe production environment. Learn production methods focused on efficiency and quality to optimize output per hour.

• Tools, equipment, uniform, and a 4-week training are provided

• Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools.
• Understand company product lines, machinery, assembly standards, and installation techniques.
• Follow quality and safety standards.
• Maintain shop equipment according to an established schedule.
• Learn to review cut lists for daily jobs.
• Additional tasks or projects as defined by the Production Manager.

• Experience with woodworking equipment and hand tools is a plus
• Experience as a Sawyer or Saw Operator preferred
• Excellent problem-solving skills, able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Some prior woodworking experience is preferred, but not required

Compensation: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour.
