Material Handler Operator

Opportunity

Kem Krest is seeking a Material Handler Operator who will be responsible for following procedures and providing input to accurately transport and manage materials using various tools and equipment. The role involves solving problems and helping to improve material flow, demonstrating competence in following safety and maintenance procedures, identifying risks and gaps that impact performance, and providing input regarding the technology used to capture data.

The operator will verify components and record work order information and is willing to cross‑train and assist other departments based on business needs.

  • Pay: $19.50 per hour
  • Schedule:

    Monday – Thursday, 8:30 PM – 7:00 AM
  • Full‑time, 40 hours per week
Responsibilities
  • Perform job duties with competence and consistency across assigned tasks.
  • Operate designated material handling equipment (MHE) safely and effectively.
  • Understand machine operations and ensure proper use to avoid performance issues.
  • Identify risks or performance gaps and raise them when necessary.
  • Provide input to improve processes, technology, and team performance.
  • Contribute to achieving key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Recognize how individual performance impacts utilization and schedule completion.
  • Support data collection efforts and provide input for relevant technology tools.
  • Follow all safety protocols and contribute to hazard prevention and waste reduction.
  • Demonstrate awareness of environmental impact and support risk reduction efforts.
Qualifications
  • 1–2 years of experience in a production or operations environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent with on‑the‑job training.
  • Strong understanding of equipment operations and safety procedures.
  • Ability to identify improvement opportunities and contribute to team success.
  • Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
