Extruder OperatorFull Time Manual Labor Brighton, MI, US
Salary Range: $18.00 To $21.00 Hourly
Summary/ObjectiveOperatorsareresponsibleforthesafeandefficientoperationofplasticextrusionequipmentthatisusedtoproducethe poly material used for mud flap manufacturing.
Perform work quality checks and monitor machine output.
Reasonableaccommodationsmaybemadetoenableindividualswithdisabilitiestoperformtheessential functions.
- Worksafelyandbeactivelyengagedinsitesafetyprograms.
- Startingupextruder,monitoringmaterialflowandadjustingextruderequipmentforproduction.
- Makingextractionprocessadjustmentstocontrolsheetoutput.
- Provide maintenance or calibration of machine to ensure material is running properly.
- Safely operate a Forklift and overhead crane to move material or equipment as needed.
- Excellent attendance&punctuality.
- Maintainacleanworkenvironment.
- Cross train in other areas and performotherdutiesasassigned.
- Basic math skills
- Mechanically inclined, understanding of hand tools and quality tools (i.e. screw drivers, hammers, calipers, tape measurer, etc.)
- Detailed oriented, organized, and motivated
- Ability to understand spoken and written English
- Ability to work overtime as needed
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Thephysicaldemandsdescribedherearerepresentativeofthosethatmustbemetbyanemployeetosuccessfully perform the essential functions of this job.

- Regular lifting,sometimesupto
Thirty pounds with occasionally up to 50 pounds. - Frequent bending,reaching,and lifting.

- Composite or Steel-toe shoes are required.
- HighschooldiplomaorequivalentGED
- Experienceworkingwithprofiledextrusionandsheetlineexperienceaplus.
- Priorexperienceusingproductionmachinery.
