Relief Veterinarian – Vetco, Petco

As a relief veterinarian you will:

• Provide preventive care, diagnostic workups, outpatient surgeries and dental procedures at Vetco Total Care hospitals.
• Offer wellness examinations, preventive vaccinations, heartworm testing, and microchip insertion at Vetco Vaccination clinics.
• Operate under an appointment‑based model to manage traffic and maintain timely patient flow.
• Work flexible shifts—weekend or weekday—select your own schedule with no minimum or maximum shift limits.
• Determine your own rate per relief shift and earn without agency fees.
• Continuously practice beyond Vetco shifts.

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine state license in good standing.
• State‑specific licensing to perform all shift functions including blood draws and administer vaccines.
• DEA registration in good standing preferred for full‑service Vetco Total Care hospital relief shifts.
• Ability to provide Professional Liability Insurance + license defense policy.
• Compliance with all local, state, and federal mandates.
