The pay rate for this job is $19 - $19 / hour*

• Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and menus
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and kitchen health regulations
• Accurately measure ingredients and follow portion-control guidelines
• Prepare meals in accordance with dietary requirements and facility standards
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen and work area
• Properly store, label, and handle food products
• Safely and effectively operate kitchen equipment
• Follow all kitchen procedures, policies, and instructions
• Monitor food quality and ensure meals are prepared and served in a timely manner
• Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and facility personnel

• Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for employment with People Ready
• Previous cooking experience preferred; commercial, healthcare, or institutional food service experience is a plus
• Ability to read, understand, and follow recipes and meal preparation instructions
• Knowledge of proper food handling, sanitation, and kitchen safety procedures
• Understanding of applicable health, food safety, and facility regulations
• Ability to follow dietary requirements and portion-control guidelines
• Ability to safely operate basic kitchen equipment and tools
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable, punctual, and capable of maintaining a professional work environment
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform routine kitchen duties throughout the shift
• Background check and Drug test required
