Role Description NEMT Drivers at Eversafe Transportation provide safe, timely, and courteous transportation for passengers traveling to and from medical appointments and related services. This full-time, on-site role is based in Brighton, MI, and involves operating company vehicles, assisting passengers with boarding and exiting, and ensuring proper use of mobility aids when needed. Drivers follow scheduled routes, maintain accurate trip logs, and communicate clearly with dispatchers, healthcare facilities, and passengers.

Daily responsibilities include performing basic vehicle safety checks, adhering to traffic and company safety regulations, and maintaining a clean, orderly vehicle interior. The role requires a professional, service-oriented approach and consistent reliability in meeting scheduled pick-ups and drop-offs.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated truck or commercial vehicle driving experience, including familiarity with Truck Driving and safe operation of a Truck.
• Possession of a valid CDL Class A or other appropriate driver’s license, with a clean driving record.
• Strong Communication skills for interacting with passengers, dispatch, and healthcare staff.
• Proven Customer Service experience, with the ability to support riders with patience, respect, and professionalism.
• Knowledge of local roads and routes in and around Brighton, MI, and ability to follow GPS or dispatch instructions.
• Ability to assist passengers with limited mobility, including safe use of ramps, lifts, and securement systems when applicable. (up to approx. 250lbs+ with equipment assistance)
• Reliable attendance, time management, and the ability to work flexible shifts as needed.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; prior NEMT, medical transport, or professional driving experience is an advantage.
• Willingness to complete background checks, motor vehicle record checks, and any required medical or safety training.
• CPR/First Aid/AED Training
• Ability to remain calm and dependable in time-sensitive situations
