Principal Civil Engineer

Position: Principal Civil Engineer (Permanent)
Location: Almondsbury

Our client has been a leading medium sized design consultancy making a fantastic impact on the Civil Engineering industry for over 30 years. With over 6 offices around the UK they have a requirement for their Bristol office as a Principal Civil Engineer.

They have a strong civil engineering background and vast experience in the design of highways and infrastructure, cost-effective technical design solutions are delivered to meet the challenges and requirements of infrastructure, development and regeneration projects.

From pre-acquisition advice on drainage options, through Flood Risk Assessment and Drainage Strategy reporting to support planning applications, to detailed highways and drainage infrastructure design, our engineers develop effective working relationships with Clients, Planning Consultants and regulatory authorities.

What you need to succeed

Sound client liaison experience and being commercially aware

Willingness to grow a Civils team alongside the Regional Director – helping line manage/mentor colleagues

Good organisation, communication, and presentation skills

Ideally 8+ years’ experience in a Civil Engineering design consultancy

Experience with Section Agreements 278, 38, 185 and 104

Fully conversant in the use of software such as AutoCAD, Civil3D, Win Des or equivalent

Hands on approach, with a desire to remain engaged in design and project delivery
