Pay Rate: £46.00 per hour (Umbrella) / £34.39 per hour (PAYE)

Hours: 35 hours per week (overtime paid at standard rate)

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Aerospace R&T Manufacturing Engineer to join a leading organisation supporting cutting‑edge wing research and technology demonstrator programmes.

You will act as a Manufacturing Engineering Integrator
, working closely with industrial architects, production teams, tooling engineers and suppliers to ensure successful preparation, planning and delivery of complex aerospace structures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver industrial plans for wing research demonstrator projects.
  • Provide input to manufacturing project change processes, assessing design impacts to cost and schedule.
  • Liaise with production teams on scheduling and operational resource planning.
  • Support jigs and tooling design, enablement and delivery.
  • Collaborate with tooling and component suppliers, managing changes and ensuring adherence to plans.
  • Generate and validate manufacturing capability documentation.
  • Work across design and manufacturing interfaces to validate Condition of Supply agreements.
  • Plan detailed delivery specifications to ensure all Quality Assurance requirements are met.
  • Promote schedule alignment and knowledge sharing across the wider Manufacturing Engineering team.
Skills & Experience Required
  • Proven background in manufacturing engineering or production, ideally within aerospace.
  • Strong understanding of aerospace structures, particularly aircraft wings.
  • Competency in CATIA V5 (AutoCAD considered).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to relay complex technical concepts clearly.
  • Ability to work autonomously and act as the interface between multi‑disciplinary teams.
  • Proficient with standard office IT tools.
  • Strong team‑working ethic.
