Contract Aerospace Mechanical Design Engineer

Are you looking for a new contract assignment? Do you have experience designing mechanical components and systems for the aerospace industry? If so, this position could be perfect for you! Our client (a growing, well-respected, and market-leading aerospace manufacturing organisation) is looking to recruit several mechanical design engineers on a contract basis to support with a large package of work.

• Inside IR35 Contract
• 6-month Contract Duration
• Bristol - 4 days on site (1 WFH)
• Multiple Positions Available

• Design and develop a range of mechanical high precision components
• Prepare scheme drawings, and detail manufacturing drawings for production
• Perform mechanical component development and integration
• Solve a variety of mechanical engineering issues and improve existing designs
• Utilise CATIA V5

• Extensive experience designing mechanical components/systems within the aerospace industry
• Ability to read complex engineering drawings and specifications
• Accomplished using CAD/design software
• In‑depth knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and geometric tolerances
• Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to identify, analyse, and resolve complex design challenges

Initial 6-month contract, with a strong likelihood of extension due to programme demand. Multiple hires required to support a large-scale engineering workload.
