Mechanical Systems Installation Design Engineer

Role Overview

Electrical Design Engineer Filton (hybrid) – £50 per hour. The role is initially until May 2027 with a 1‑stage interview, either virtual or face‑to‑face. Flexible working hours are available.

We are collaborating with a prominent aerospace company and you will join our Test Centre to develop architectures and specifications for data acquisition and control systems for a new test facility and several new test benches focused on Hydrogen testing.

• Develop architecture and design solutions for data acquisition and control systems.
• Develop electrical component designs and electrical schematics.
• Specify instrumentation for various measurements (pressure, flow, voltage, current, etc.).
• Produce requirement and specification documentation for data acquisition and control systems.

• Experience with electrical design tools (AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, KiCad).
• Understanding of electrical design principles and electrical systems.
• Understanding of testing principles.
• Experience with electrical architecture design.
• Experience with instrumentation, data acquisition and control systems.

• Knowledge of avionic data buses (A429, CAN, AFDX).
• Knowledge of avionic hardware interfaces (discretes, analogues).
