Aircraft Fitter
12 Month Contract
Based in Filton
Offering £28.87ph Inside IR35
Shift pattern of 6:30 am‑3:45 pm Monday‑Thursday
EligibilityApplicants must hold an engineering apprenticeship or an NVQ/SVQ Level 3 (or equivalent). Candidates with a desire to work for an industry‑leading Defence and Aerospace company are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities- Work from engineering instructions and understand aircraft drawings.
- Perform general tasks using power tools for drilling, shimming, and sealing.
- Obtain 1st‑party certification after successful completion of the relevant courses.
- Work in confined spaces (tank work), including restricted and physically demanding wing access and egress through oval‑shaped manholes.
- Aerospace or Engineering Full Apprenticeship.
- Indenture and City & Guilds Level 2, BTEC ONC or Modern Apprenticeship Certificate, NVQ Level 2, 3, Key Skills Level 2 and City & Guilds Level 2/BTEC ONC in a recognised engineering field.
- Ability to work alone or as part of a team.
- Openness to continuous improvement processes and new ways of working.
- Knowledge and strong regard for Health and Safety standards.
- Fitting experience.
