Job Description
Join us at Manufacturing Engineering (ME) Industrial Systems for Suppliers! Industrial System Support for Suppliers (OMS department) ensures the industrialisation of our suppliers to the expected performance targets for all Programs SA, A220, LR, A350, A400M. If you want to develop your technical skills, procurement skills, interpersonal skills and be an actor of the Airbus Supply Chain, take on the challenge of working in a highly motivated, fast‑moving and engaged team in Filton near Bristol.
Key Responsibilities- Analyse industrial capability of potential suppliers and contribute to the Transfer of Work project team within the supplier network.
- Organise industrial kick‑off meetings with suppliers and lead Supplier Industrial Reviews until Industrial Coordination hand‑over.
- Participate in root‑cause analysis of technical abnormalities with Procurement Operations to determine if the issue is caused by manufacturing capability.
- Contribute to design reviews, providing input on design to manufacture for industrialisation (manufacturing capability).
- Use manufacturing expertise to improve quality and support the capability of our suppliers, acting as the manufacturing industrial authority for development projects with a focus on a code‑sign philosophy.
- Expand and develop industrial capability for Aero structure & Detail Parts Supply Chain, securing industrial performance and driving industrial improvements and innovation of our suppliers.
- Coordinate activities within your perimeter and cascade information to key stakeholders both internally and externally via established reporting means.
- Technical background in manufacturing engineering with a manufacturing background (metallic or composite detail part manufacture).
- Sound knowledge of manufacturing processes and methods, with the ability to assess design drawings for detailed manufacture and manufacturability.
- Good understanding of tolerances and drawing dimensioning with machineability in mind.
- Working knowledge of CATIA.
- Aerospace experience or background preferred.
- Degree level in Engineering or equivalent.

Frequent travel within the UK and internationally. Base location:
Filton, near Bristol.
