Production Coordinator – Fashion
Years Maternity FTC
We are looking for an experienced Production Coordinator to join a fast-paced fashion business, supporting the smooth delivery of products across a global supply network.
This is a hands on role requiring strong critical-path management, confident supplier communication and the ability to manage high volumes of orders and data. You will work cross-functionally to ensure production remains on schedule and products are delivered accurately and efficiently
Key responsibilities:- Review, challenge and negotiate production lead times and ex-factory dates where necessary
- Build and maintain strong relationships with factories and suppliers across a global supply base
- Manage the production critical path, ensuring buying-calendar deadlines are achieved
- Monitor factory performance against order specifications, capacity plans and delivery dates
- Identify potential delays early and create supplier action plans to protect the intake schedule
- Resolve supplier delays, negotiate penalties where appropriate and escalate significant risks with proactive solutions
- Work closely with Planning, Sourcing and Quality teams to resolve outstanding production actions
- Support the weekly buy process and challenge repeat-order lead times to improve agility
- Ratio orders at size level when required to meet order requirements and optimise stock flow
- Support the management of supplier contracts, payment terms, debits and discounts
- Produce clear reporting updates using Excel and high volumes of production data
- Maintain strong relationships with internal departments and ensure clear cross-functional communication
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, systems and operational efficiency
- Support wider sourcing, planning and continuous-improvement projects across the business
- Ideally degree educated in Fashion, Supply Chain or a related subject
- Approximately six years’ experience within a fashion brand, retailer or supplier
- Strong knowledge of fashion production processes, buying cycles and critical-path management
- Experience working with a global, multi-category supply base
- Confident managing factory performance, delivery risks and production delays
- Advanced Excel skills, with the ability to analyse and manipulate large volumes of data
- Highly organised, commercially aware and solutions focused
- Accurate, detail oriented and comfortable working within a fast-paced, evolving environment
