Senior Project Manager

Overview

Senior Project Manager sought, Bristol. Bekk R Solutions are actively seeking a Senior Civils Project Manager to join our client, a progressive multitech services contractor with links to a multinational property consultancy. We require a Senior Project Manager to join the team, embedded with a prestigious manufacturing facility in Bristol.

• Responsible for the safe execution of a portfolio of concurrent civil engineering projects for the client's site in Bristol, ensuring delivery to meet company and client standards in health, safety, quality, cost and programme, while complying as a Principal Contractor with current CDM legislation.
• Manage civils projects with values between £50k and £15m across the client's site in Filton, Bristol.
• Manage projects in accordance with the NEC3 Framework Contract and ensure delivery to the contract programme.
• Provide health and safety leadership to site delivery teams (including sub-contractors and suppliers), promote behavioural safety improvements, and ensure that suppliers, sub-contractors and direct workforce follow company policies and procedures including Health & Safety, Quality Assurance and Engineering standards.
• Support the project risk management process and implement effective controls to ensure safe and timely delivery of projects.
• Lead the production and risk management of quotations and estimates.
• Promote and maintain effective client/stakeholder relationships to protect and enhance the company's reputation at project level.
• Provide coaching, mentoring and development support to direct reports and trainees.
• Work closely with the Senior Design Manager to ensure robust, workable, economic and constructable designs are produced.
• Support project opportunities identified to realise, maintain and improve commercial project performance.
• Liaise with the client-side Project Managers to ensure projects are managed in compliance with MS18, CS06 and the current delivery programme and cost plan.
• Enhance the strength of contract delivery to maintain the highest standards of quality in accordance with the programme, British Standards, codes of practice, etc.
• Ensure projects are completed snag and defect free.

• Proven and demonstrable experience in the role of a Senior Project Manager within the Civil Engineering/Construction industries (essential).
• Experience on civil engineering projects within the Nuclear/Defence/Aviation industry (highly desirable).
• Must achieve SC level security clearance.
• Experience in the use of NEC3 Contracts (essential).
• Experience managing health and safety procedures with knowledge of H&S standards/regulations across multiple sites (essential).
• Experience in the preparation of quotations and estimates (essential).
• City & Guilds / NVQ (or equivalent) construction related qualification (essential).
• SMSTS, JIB/BESA, CSCS Card, First Aid (essential).

A competitive salary reflective of your position (circa £65,000 - £85,000) plus package including a car allowance, 26+ days annual leave, pension, medical and further benefits, with opportunities for development and progression.
