Position: Head of Maintenance documentation for Fuel and Landing Gear
Location: Filton

Joining the Maintenance Documentation team means stepping into a pivotal role at the heart of Airbus Customer Services, where the mission is to ensure the global fleet remains safe and airworthy throughout its entire lifecycle. Based in Filton but operating as a critical bridge to our dynamic Bangalore hub, this team is the backbone of operational readiness for every aircraft we deliver.

As the Head of Maintenance Documentation for Fuel and Landing Gear, you aren't just managing tasks; you are leading a high-impact team of 20 specialists responsible for the most mission‑critical systems on an aircraft.

This is a rare opportunity to own the end‑to‑end authoring and quality strategy for complex perimeters that require absolute precision. You will have the autonomy to drive excellence in technical deliverables while serving as a key pillar of support for our customers, making a tangible impact on the efficiency and safety of the world's most advanced commercial aircraft.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM
  • Lead the Technical Data Systems UK organization, ensure the implementation of any organizational changes in accordance with the overall Technical Data strategy
  • Ensure the delivery of contractual and airworthiness commitments to our customers (airlines), in accordance with the defined perimeter
  • Inspire and lead as a coach to ensure people development
  • Define the orientations in terms of skills development and the acquisition of technical expertise.
  • Define the Make or Buy strategy of the team
  • Ensure collaboration with the different stakeholders involved in our activity (Programme, Design Office, other teams in Customer services, subcontracting networks, and with the other teams in the organisation)
  • Challenge the status quo by promoting simplification and optimization
  • Actively contribute to the Tech Data continuous improvement portfolio
    Proven leadership experience in a first line management role
