This bank post with Cygnet Health Care sits at Cygnet Alders Clinic, a 20-bed rehabilitation service for women with personality disorder and complex needs. The work centres on assessment, treatment and recovery, with written reporting, care planning alongside residents and relatives, and medicines administration. Shifts are ad hoc, covering days or nights, and the role suits an experienced RMN who can deputise in a clinical lead role.
An active NMC PIN and working knowledge of the Mental Health Act 1983 are needed.
- Administer prescribed medicines in line with healthcare procedures and guidelines
- Produce clear written reports based on nursing assessments and observations
- Keep individual care plans complete and up to date, drawn up with residents, relatives and other professionals
- Monitor, manage and reduce risk with a focus on patient recovery
- Support service users to build independence and empowerment
- Work with the management team to develop the service, audit and improve quality
- Attend all required training and engage in CPD
- Registered mental health nurse (RMN or RNLD)
- NMC registration with a current PIN
- Experienced registered mental health nurse
- Maintaining clinical documentation and undertaking audits
- Working knowledge of the Mental Health Act 1983
- Understanding of current nursing practice
- Able to deputise in a clinical lead role
- Enhanced DBS check
