Java Software Engineer

Salary: £78,000 - 78,000 per year

• A strong background in software engineering and its system-wide impact
• Experience of working in Java
• Collaborative, open approach to development, able to work well in a team
• Experience across the entire software development process, from engaging with requirement authorities to automated target integration and proving
• Familiarity with new tools, techniques, and approaches to improve efficiency and sustainability
• Experience in other programming languages such as Ada
• Knowledge of DDS middleware and Real Time Operating Systems
• Understanding of standards such as Def Stan 00-55, DO-178C, or IEC
  61508

• Design and develop new and evolving software tools and architectures
• Engage with requirement authorities to understand and document needs
• Participate in automated target integration and proving phases
• Collaborate with team members to maintain momentum through the development process
• Explore and implement new tools and techniques to enhance processes and sustainability
• Ensure adherence to industry standards throughout the development lifecycle
