Staff Accountant

Base pay range

$60,000.00/yr - $80,000.00/yr

The Staff Accountant supports the Finance team by maintaining accurate financial records, preparing and analyzing reports, and ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards. This role is critical in a manufacturing environment, where accurate cost tracking, inventory valuation, and job costing are essential to decision-making and profitability.

• Maintain supporting schedules and prepare and post journal entries for monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts, including bank accounts, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and prepaid/deferrals.
• Assist with fixed asset accounting, depreciation schedules, and capital expenditure tracking.
• Prepare Letters of Credit.

• Reconcile and analyze inventory accounts, including raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
• Assist with MRB reconciliation and disposition.
• Monitor labor, overhead, and material costs for accuracy and completeness.
• Support cycle counts and year-end physical inventory processes.

• Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports.
• Provide cost and margin analysis by product line, customer, or project.
• Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts.
• Identify trends and variances and provide recommendations for corrective actions.

• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.
• Support process improvements in financial reporting and internal controls.
• Assist with compliance reporting (sales tax, property tax, government filings).
• Assist with Export licensing and controls.
• Assist with Bank financial covenant reporting.

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• Experience: 1–3 years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• U.S. persons only, per ITAR regulations.

• Strong understanding of GAAP.
• Experience with Manufacturing ERP systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, analysis).
