Accounting Specialist
Location:
Bristol, CT area
Reports to:
Controller/CFO
A well-established manufacturer in the Bristol, CT area is seeking an Accounting Specialist to join its team. This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented accounting professional who enjoys working in a collaborative, family-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
+ Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions
+ Code and enter AP invoices into the ERP system
+ Prepare AP check runs
+ Process daily AR invoicing and cash receipts, including checks and ACH payments
+ Research and resolve customer and vendor invoice discrepancies
+ Monitor past-due accounts
+ Assist with month-end and year-end close activities, including general ledger support
+ Maintain accurate accounting records and assist with audits
+ Provide backup support to the Controller
Qualifications
+ Minimum 5 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
+ Strong AP and AR experience required
+ Experience working in an ERP system
+ Strong understanding of general accounting procedures
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel

Requirements
+ Minimum 5 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
