** Major Mechanical Service Advisor
** to join our service team. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary liaison between customers and technicians, ensuring a positive service experience while maximizing efficiency and customer satisfaction.
** Responsibilities
* ** Greet customers promptly and professionally.
* Listen to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle service needs.
* Prepare repair orders and communicate service recommendations, estimates, and timelines.
* Coordinate with technicians regarding diagnostics, repair progress, and completion schedules.
* Explain maintenance and repair recommendations in a clear, customer-friendly manner.
* Monitor repair status and keep customers informed throughout the service process.
* Review completed repairs with customers and ensure all questions are answered.
* Assist in achieving service department sales, customer satisfaction, and retention goals.
* Handle warranty claims, service contracts, and repair documentation as required.
* Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with dealership policies.
** Qualifications
* ** Previous automotive service advisor, service writer, or customer service experience preferred.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
* Basic understanding of automotive systems and maintenance requirements.
* Computer proficiency and experience with dealership management systems preferred.
* Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
