Position Overview
We are seeking an accomplished Assistant Professor in Economics to join the University of Bristol’s Mumbai Enterprise Campus (MEC) – a pioneering transnational education initiative launching in 2026. This unique role offers a clear pathway for career progression, including potential advancement to Associate Professor, and provides the opportunity to shape curriculum, lead research, and contribute to the University’s global academic reputation.
Responsibilities- Teach and design undergraduate and postgraduate courses in core and elective areas of Economics, contributing to programme design, accreditation, and innovative teaching strategies that enhance student experience and employability.
- Lead independent research projects, publish in high‑impact journals, pursue research funding, and supervise student theses and internships while building interdisciplinary collaborations across the University network.
- Participate in faculty committees, student recruitment, and quality assurance processes; build industry and academic partnerships, and contribute to institutional development and capacity‑building initiatives.
- PhD in Economics or a closely related discipline.
- Proven ability to teach at a high standard and an emerging track record of scholarly research.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and collaborative skills.
- Proactive about professional development and eager to contribute to a pioneering academic venture.
