Project Engineer
Job DescriptionWe are seeking a motivated Project Engineer to support water, wastewater, stormwater, and environmental infrastructure projects throughout both the design and construction phases. This role plays a key part in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in alignment with technical and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, permits, and project requirements
- Manage project budgets and schedules to meet client expectations
- Mentor junior staff and provide leadership within project teams
- Prepare and review technical documents, drawings, and specifications
- Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress, quality, and adherence to plans
- Collaborate with clients, engineers, and sub‑consultants to support successful project delivery
- 3+ years of experience in water, sewer, or environmental infrastructure projects
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Environmental Engineering, or a related field
- Ability to obtain E.I.T. certification if not already held
- Experience with RFIs, submittals, and change orders
Skills & Qualifications
- P.E. license preferred
- 5+ years of experience in water, wastewater, sewer, or environmental infrastructure projects
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
This position typically involves 90% office work and 10% onsite field work. The organization offers a supportive and stable environment with approachable leadership and a long‑tenured team. Job Type & LocationContract to Hire position based out of Bristol, CT.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $90.00 - $110.00/hr.
