We are seeking a skilled MRO Process & Methods Engineer to support our start-up FAR 145 Repair Station operations, specializing in the maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) of commercial aircraft engine accessories, primarily supporting CFM
56 and V2500 platforms.

This role involves developing and maintaining FAA-acceptable repair and overhaul processes using approved technical data, including Component Maintenance Manuals (CMMs), Illustrated Parts Catalogs (IPCs), and applicable FAA guidance.

Candidates must have direct, hands‑on engine accessory experience and must be capable of establishing full‑scale repair capabilities that support FAA conformity, audit, and regulatory oversight. This role requires comfort operating in a build-and-establish environment
, where repair capability, tooling, and processes are being developed and matured under active regulatory oversight.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review, interpret, and apply approved technical data (CMMs, IPCs, ACs, OEM documentation) to develop compliant repair, overhaul, inspection, and test procedures.
  • Develop and document full‑scale repair capabilities for engine accessories, ensuring processes are traceable to approved technical data and suitable for FAA acceptance.
  • Provide repair development engineering support for engine accessories, including teardown analysis, inspection criteria development, repair substantiation within CMM limits, and test validation.
  • Translate engineering and regulatory requirements into clear, auditable work instructions, SOPs, inspection criteria, and process flows.
  • Collaborate with maintenance technicians, quality, inspection, and production teams to ensure processes are practical, repeatable, and compliant.
  • Support first article inspections, process validations, and functional testing, including test stand activities where applicable.
  • Maintain controlled engineering and process documentation in accordance with repair station procedures, SAS expectations, and FAA audit requirements.
  • Lead the troubleshooting of complex accessory discrepancies while ensuring corrective actions remain within approved or FAA-accepted data.
Required Qualifications
  • Typically requires 5–10 years of relevant experience in aviation MRO or process engineering, including hands‑on work with commercial aircraft engine accessories in a FAR 145 repair station environment.
  • Direct, hands‑on experience with commercial aircraft engine accessories is required, including:
  • Variable Bleed Valve (VBV) and Stator Vane accessories (VSV)
  • High and Low flow fuel systems
  • Hydro‑Mechanical Units (HMUs)
  • Proven familiarity with test stands, functional testing, and accessory performance verification.
  • Demonstrated experience developing FAA‑acceptable repair and overhaul processes using approved technical data, specifically Component Maintenance Manuals (CMMs).
  • Demonstrated ability to read, interpret, and apply CMMs, IPCs, ACs, and FAA regulatory guidance to create compliant process documentation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP and Pivot Tables.
  • Working proficiency with SharePoint and web‑based planning, document control, and collaboration tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and cross‑functional communication skills in a regulated environment.
  • U.S. persons only, per ITAR regulations
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience supporting CFM
    56 and/or V2500 engine accessories.
  • A&P License.
  • Experience coordinating with DERs or engineering authorities when repairs deviate from published CMM limits.
