Retirement Plan Consultant
Bristol, CT | In-Person | $95,000 - $105,000 /yr | Full-Time
A well established and growing wealth management firm with a collaborative team that cares about their people is hiring a Retirement Plan Consultant. You will be the go-to retirement plan expert, helping clients build and manage plans that fit their goals while helping participants feel confident about their futures.
What You’ll Do:- Advise clients on 401(k) plan design, implementation, compliance, and fiduciary responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for plan sponsors and participants
- Lead regular plan reviews to keep plans compliant and optimized
- Partner with advisors, investment teams, and third-party administrators (TPAs)
- Stay current on ERISA, IRS, and DOL updates
- Support new business with retirement plan proposals and presentations
- Series 66 required, and willingness to obtain your Series 7
- 3+ years of experience managing 401(k) plans, retirement services, or related financial services
- Strong working knowledge of ERISA, IRS, and DOL regulations
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to explain complex retirement concepts in a client-friendly way
- QKA, QKC, or CPFA is a plus
- Subject matter expert role with real ownership and visibility
- Collaborative team across advisory, investments, and plan administration
- Room to grow in a well established, expanding firm
