  36 hours per week
• Shift: 12-hour days (7a–7p or 7p–7a), every other weekend, rotating holidays
• Unit Features:
  All LDRP beds, 1 OR suite for C-sections, 2 triage beds, 12 postpartum beds
• Charting System: MEDITECH - 6.07
• Scrub Color:
  Navy Blue

Labor & Delivery RN Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Connecticut or compact state
• Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience
• BLS and NRP certifications required
• COVID vaccine required
• Experience with LDRP unit and titration of Pitocin/Magnesium drips
• Ability to read and interpret EFM strips (Traceview system)

Labor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive care to obstetric patients 35 weeks and above in a busy LDRP unit
• Assist with labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum nursing care
• Support C-sections and collaborate with OB techs, pediatric hospitalists, and APRNs
• Titrate and manage Pitocin and Magnesium drips according to clinical protocols
• Document patient care using MEDITECH electronic health record system
• Adhere to AWHONN guidelines for patient ratios and safety standards
• Work scheduled shifts including every other weekend and rotating holidays
• Participate in unit-specific orientation and shadowing for seamless onboarding
