Tooling Operator

Overview

Metal Finishing Technologies, LLC is a nationally recognized industry leader of diversified metal finishing and surface preparation; as well as a certified FAA repair station servicing the Automotive, Marine, Aerospace, Medical, Commercial and Electrical industries since 1947.

MFT is seeking a dedicated, hardworking and reliable candidate who will have the ability to complete all necessary training in order to become a competent, effective, and successful tooling operator. The candidate must be able to make daily runs, receiving and delivery of parts, locally and out of state. The candidate will be provided with intensive training to ensure successful completion of tasks.

Hours are from 3:30 am - 11:30 am or 10:00 am - 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday, and alternating weekend shifts (approx. every 3rd weekend 3:30 am - 5:00 pm on Saturday and 3:30 am - 12:00 pm on Sunday as well with double time on Sundays).

You will need to pass a DOT Physical in order to drive for this job.

• Strip and clean parts, including but not limited to acid baths and grit blasting, according to specific instructions of the client.
• Pack and transport finished product to clients including but not limited to early morning and/or afternoon.
• Pick up parts for service based on request(s) of the client.
• Refill tanks as needed.
• Monitor condition of all equipment and recommend repairs or replacements as necessary.
• Complete work order and related paperwork thoroughly.
• Ensure parts are processed in accordance to specifications on work orders.
• Maintain paperwork and log books.
• Must comply with safety committee and EHS requirements.
• Must follow all safety procedures when working with materials on a daily basis, including but not limited to: wearing the correct Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Understand and conform to MFT/Customer/QC standards.
• Provide safe working environment by properly handling chemicals.
• Other duties as assigned

• High School diploma, or equivalent.
• At least one (1) year experience operating a 16ft and/or 22ft box truck.
• Must have a current driver’s license that is in good standing.
• Must be comfortable making daily deliveries.
• Must be flexible to working variable hours, including specific holidays and weekend rotations.
• Must be reliable.
• Must have the ability to lift up to 40lbs on a frequent basis.
• Must be able to pass DOT Physical and Pre-employment drug screen.
• Manufacturing/Industrial experience preferred but not required.

Hours will vary and be agreed upon between employee and manager, but typically will be first shift and rotating weekends.
