We are seeking an experienced, passionate veterinary professional to join our hybrid hospital located in West Hartford, CT. VCA Veterinary Specialists of CT incorporates a general practice, specialty hospital, and 24/7 Emergency and Critical Care department all in one location. Job DescriptionAs an extension of the medical and client service team, the Patient Account Representative is the connection between the client, patient, and medical team. This is a great role for someone with strong communication skills looking for an opportunity to advance their career in the veterinary field.
Job Duties Include- Inputting charges for hospitalized patients;
- Reviewing treatment plans with owners and explaining the charges;
- Answering client questions regarding the costs of services;
- Reviewing financial options and supports with clients;
- Updating clients on the costs of services and taking additional deposits when needed;
- Training associates on medical coding;
- Assisting in creating a streamlined process for the client to provide care for their pet;
- Being a point of contact for owners while their pets are hospitalized;
- Gathering client feedback on services provided and bringing that feedback to the leadership team;
- Advocating on the clients and patients behalf when needed;
- Performing routine charge audits to ensure accuracy
Full Time
Pay Range$22 - $26 depending on experience
