Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position with alternating weekend shifts and night hours, requiring a TN or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital-based Med/Surg Telemetry unit

• Typical schedule includes three or four 12-hour night shifts, from 18:30 to 07:00

• Required to work every other weekend

• No call requirements

• Floating to other units as needed

• General orientation begins on Sundays and includes online content (CBLs)

• Contract RNs are expected to support and contribute to nursing student clinical education alongside patient care

• Scrub or dress code requirements not specified—candidates should confirm with the facility prior to assignment

• Holiday and shift assignment participation may be required in accordance with unit needs

Requirements

• Active TN or compact RN license required at the time of consideration

• Minimum of 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience required

• Current AHA BLS certification required

• Previous charge nurse experience preferred

• All travelers must reside at least 100 miles from the facility

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
