Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg Neuro RN with a TN or compact license, 1 year of experience, and AHA BLS certification for night shifts in a community hospital.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Medical Surgical Neuro unit of a community hospital

• Night shifts available, either 3x12 or 4x12 hours from 18:30 to 07:00

• Every other weekend is required

• No on-call responsibility

• Floating to other units is required

• Patients are neuro and med/surg cases

• Participate in the clinical education and support of nursing students alongside regular care duties

• Must attend a general orientation beginning on Sundays, including online CBLs

• Dress code and scrubs requirement information will be provided during onboarding

• Holiday coverage may be required as per department needs

Requirements

• Active RN license in TN or compact state at the time of consideration

• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience

• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification preferred

• Community hospital experience required

• Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility

• First time travelers are accepted
