Food Unit Lead (Full Time)

Join Compass One Healthcare (a division of Morrison Healthcare) as a Food Unit Lead. We are hiring immediately for a full‑time position at Ballad Health Bristol Regional Medical Center, Bristol, TN.

Coordinates activities of other food‑service employees and creates an enjoyable dining experience for customers, staff, and visitors.

• Ballad Health Bristol Regional Medical Center – 1 Medical Park Boulevard, Bristol, TN 37620
• Full‑time schedule; days may vary (5:30 am–7:00 pm). Typically 12‑hour shifts, three days per week with rotating weekends and holidays.

• No prior experience required.
• Candidate must pass a criminal background check and a drug screening (nicotine testing is not required).

Fixed rate: $19.00 per hour.

• Provide quality customer service with one‑on‑one attention to detail.
• Oversee and participate in the preparation and service of food and beverage items in accordance with company standards for presentation, sanitation, safety, and portion control.
• Help plan menus.
• Ensure timely, efficient meal service; supervise the serving of meals.
• Respond to customer complaints in person and via email.
• Train employees and assign/coordinate work to promote efficiency and excellence.
• Determine work procedures, prepare schedules, and expedite workflow.
• Use proper systems for required reports (inventory‑cash, production records, payroll, time‑keeping).
• Handle cash responsibly as per the Food Accounting Manual.
• Order food and supplies from approved suppliers.
• Direct and participate in overall sanitation and safety of the facility.
• Develop and enforce sanitation schedules for kitchen and dining areas.
• Issue written and oral instructions.
• Assist with employee selection, orientation, and training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
