Assistant Accountant

MCS Group is delighted to be partnering with a leading manufacturing organisation based in Portadown who are seeking to recruit an Assistant Accountant on a full-time, permanent basis. The Company:
This organisation is well established within its sector and continues to grow steadily. The finance team is expanding due to recent restructuring, creating an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build their skill set in accounts within a supportive environment. Your New Role:
Reporting to the Finance Business Partner, responsibilities will include:
Prepare monthly management accounts and reconciliations Complete stock work, journals, accruals, and prepayments Review overheads and sales reports Prepare VAT returns (UK & Ireland) and year-end audit reports Support payroll and statutory returns Oversee Accounts Receivable and Payable teams Perform other finance-related duties as needed What You Need to Succeed? Part-qualified (ACCA, IATI or equivalent) Previous experience working in an accounting position Skilled in supervising and supporting a finance team Strong analytical skills with great attention to detail What's in it for you:
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 DOE. 32 days holiday (including statutory/public holidays). Health insurance. Death-in-service benefit. On-site parking.
