Audit - Industry & Services Apprentice

Position: Audit - Industry & Services School Leaver Apprentice 1 September 2026

Overview

As an apprentice you’ll undergo a four‑year training contract. You’ll begin with the fundamentals of auditing and then progress to independent, complex audit work, mentorship and permanent employment within Forvis Mazars.

Years 1 and 2

• Master the art of auditing: learn to prepare meticulous audit documents using the latest software and methodologies.
• Financial statements: develop a deep understanding of balance sheets, income statements and cash flows.
• Work side‑by‑side with clients: immerse yourself in diverse businesses, understanding their operations, challenges and circumstances.
• Build relationships: connect with key stakeholders—both clients and internal team/service lines—to gather information and develop strong professional relationships.

Years 3 and 4

As you progress you’ll take on increasingly complex audit work such as revenue recognition, valuation and risk assessment. You’ll take ownership of audit engagements, lead their delivery and mentor junior team members. Qualifications and Attributes

• On track to obtain an A‑level, BTEC or equivalent qualification. Strong academic performance is important, but we consider the whole person.

About the Audit Industry & Services team

Our support includes coaching, mentorship and one‑on‑one guidance to help you grow, belong and make an impact. In addition to qualifying support, we provide time off to study and a blended training approach. You will be allocated a buddy before joining to help you settle into the team.
