Audit Manager – Northamptonshire

Permanent role. Salary: c £60K – £65K. This is not offering visa sponsorship.

Are you an ambitious qualified ACA/ACCA looking to develop your managerial career in Public Practice? Our client is an established firm of Chartered Accountants and is recruiting for an Audit Manager to deal with the varied requirements of SME businesses in respect of audit, accounts and taxation. There are prospects for progression to partner level which would be discussed in due course.

• Reporting to Audit Partner
• Full time role 90% audit related with balance being accounts preparation
• Day-to-day management and execution of audits
• Meetings with clients and planning the audits
• Management of the audit staff and mentoring of the team
• Support with Grant sign-offs (Automotive Grant funded Projects)
• Some travel to client sites will be required
• Firm handles audits of up to c £75M turnover across various sectors

• Managing the requirements of owner managed businesses including limited companies, sole traders and partnerships
• A role that combines management with practical hands-on work
• Maintaining strong client relationships and assisting with business development

• Public Practice background and ACA or ACCA qualified
• Strong audit experience
• Basic tax computation ability
• Knowledge of various accounting software;
  Mercia for audit is useful but can be learned
