Audit Director

A well-established firm of Chartered Accountants in Bristol is looking to strengthen its senior leadership team with the appointment of an Audit Director, offering flexible working, a strong company pension, and much more. The successful candidate will take ownership of a varied portfolio of audit clients, providing strategic oversight, technical guidance, and commercial input at the highest level. You will play a key role in shaping the future direction of the audit department, mentoring senior staff, and contributing to the wider growth and profitability of the firm.

What is the day-to-day of the role:

• Oversee a diverse portfolio of audit clients across multiple sectors
• Provide technical review and sign off on complex audit assignments
• Lead, mentor, and develop audit managers and senior staff
• Drive business development and strengthen client relationships
• Contribute to strategic planning and the ongoing growth of the audit department

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• ACA or ACCA qualified with significant post-qualification experience
• Proven track record operating at Director or near-Director level
• Previous experience working within a UK Practice environment
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and people management skills
• Excellent commercial awareness and business development ability
